Simply a bunch of Linux related comments from a user who can't stop trying new distributions.
Is it just me or does anyone else think the more lightweight a desktop environment is proportionally how much I feel like a hacker when using it?
Not only is it easy to use but it’s just as easy to customize. Not to mention fast, blazing fast it boots on my ssd after grub in about 6 seconds!
Runs cooler so it’s great if you want to do some heavy video editing or an processor intensive duties. As much as I like it for a few Megabites more a person can use Xubuntu and get access to a lot more customization options which are easier to enable. (like disabling my touchpad while I type this).
All in all if you’re wanting an environment that runs cooler this will do it. I’m seeing a drop in about 5 Celcius. It probably saves a little power but that’s really only helpful if you hardware can take advantage of a reduced processor load.
